We can’t all be experts in politics, human rights, viruses, vaccines and global problems, and as such help the world rise again.. But we can all be best for the things we are good at!
And by recognizing that in ourselves, we can all contribute in making world a better place.
So let’s start this February with a small #challenge and make an impact!
People who have visited my lectures, know how excited I am around the homework part, so a homework for this month will be the following:
- Make a timeline of your formal and informal experiences, starting from the first to the present (including summer work, internships, projects, etc.). What were the things that you enjoyed? What were the things that took energy out of you? Write them on a paper, of course.
- Now you see the points that make you unique, since no other has the same combination as you. Are you brave enough to create your story? There are no rules – write it as a narrative, as a bullet-points page, even draw it if you are more comfortable with that. Just let the world know who you are.
- Call the person from your network (friend, family, colleague) that is the best critics giver you know. Ask him/her for half an hour of their time (can be online video call as well), and present them with your story. Be curious for follow up questions and feedback on your presentation method.
Give yourself a deadline until end of February (this year, of course).
And guess what? From March on, you are one step closer to your ideal next career step (in the same position but different approach, the same company but different position, another company, another industry, entrepreneurial step, name it).
I am excited to hear all of your stories, so don’t forget to write me a message at the end of February!
Let’s all do what we are good at, and inspire with enthusiasm!
